Kalum Kabs, a taxi company in Terrace, was again targeted by arsonists on August 29, just five days after a similar incident. The fire, reported around 1:20 a.m., caused significant damage to one of the company’s vehicles. This follows an earlier act of arson on August 24, when two shuttle buses were set on fire at the same location on Lakelse Avenue.
The RCMP believe both fires were intentionally started. In the most recent incident, the suspect is described as a female with blonde or light-colored hair, wearing black clothing and white shoes. Police also believe the suspect may have suffered burns while setting the fire.
Authorities are asking the public for help. They’re looking for any information about the arson, including CCTV or dash cam footage that may have captured the suspect in the area. If you have any information, please contact Terrace RCMP at 250-638-7400.
The community is urged to stay vigilant as the investigation continues into this disturbing series of incidents.
