The RCMP response involved approximately nine officers from Smithers and BC Highway Patrol, ensuring a swift and safe resolution. One individual was arrested and is cooperating with investigators.
Police are recommending charges, including careless use of a firearm, pointing a firearm, assault, and uttering threats. These charges are still under review by the Public Prosecution Services of Canada. The RCMP is asking anyone who witnessed the incident leading to the search warrant to come forward.
