Community Gaming Grants are empowering not-for-profit organizations across British Columbia to deliver arts and culture programming that enriches lives and builds stronger communities. In 2025, 771 groups received over $16.6 million to support programs in music, theatre, dance, literary, and visual arts.
Grant recipients reflect the province’s diversity. The Dare to Dream Foundation in Terrace received $14,000 to provide arts programs that inspire youth. In Prince Rupert, the Northern British Columbia Museum Association was awarded $56,000 to preserve and promote local cultural heritage. Meanwhile, the Smithers Gallery Association received $20,000 to support visual arts exhibitions and education.
These investments create accessible opportunities for people to engage with the arts, fostering well-being and cultural vitality. Anne Kang, Minister of Tourism, Arts, Culture and Sport, emphasizes that these grants contribute to vibrant, inclusive communities by supporting local creativity and connections.
The Community Gaming Grants program distributes up to $140 million annually. Applications supporting public safety programs are open until November 30, 2025.
