An ongoing technical outage is affecting operations at the Northern Health Virtual Clinic, with staff unable to access clinical information systems, including patient appointments.
The outage began early on August 26, and as of 6:00 a.m., staff continue to experience difficulties accessing key databases. As a result, patients with appointments scheduled today will not be able to connect with a provider until the issue is resolved.
Northern Health IT Services has restored partial functionality and continues to work on fully resolving the problem. Once services are restored, the Virtual Clinic will reach out to all affected patients to rebook their missed appointments.
Those attempting to call and book new appointments are being asked to try again later.
Northern Health has also noted that similar technical difficulties are affecting some primary care clinics.
In a statement released this morning, Northern Health said it will provide an update to the public once normal operations resume at the Virtual Clinic and other impacted facilities.
Thank you for your patience as technicians work to resolve the issue.
