FireSmart Kitimat is hosting an engaging scavenger hunt trail walk at Lakelse Lake Provincial Park on Thursday, August 14th. The event will run in two sessions, one at 11:00 AM and another at 2:00 PM, starting from the Furlong Bay Beach parking lot.
This free, family-friendly event invites participants to explore the forest while collecting items to build a “Grab and Go Bag.” Along the trail, there will be FireSmart learning stations, where families will gain valuable insights into fire safety and emergency preparedness.
Each participant will receive a free event badge and enjoy complimentary snacks. The event is designed to educate kids and families about FireSmart practices in an interactive, fun way. It’s a great opportunity to enjoy the outdoors while learning about fire safety in the beautiful northwest.
