Together We Can Drug & Alcohol Recovery & Education Society (TWC) is expanding its sober living network into Terrace and nearby Northern BC communities. Based in Vancouver, the organization has partnered for three years with the Nisga’a Valley Health Authority and Nisga’a Lisims Government, helping many Nisga’a Nation members and their families begin the journey to recovery.
Now, TWC is building on that success by offering sober living homes in Northern BC that blend addiction support with traditional wellness practices and land-based healing. The goal is to help people maintain their recovery while staying rooted in their home communities.
Executive Director Stacy Wilson says the expansion is about more than just housing—it’s about belonging, cultural safety, and long-term recovery.
The initiative also welcomes Billy Morrison of the Nisga’a First Nation to help guide the project with local insight. The homes will be developed in collaboration with local leaders, Elders, and stakeholders to ensure they reflect the community’s values and needs.
TWC says it looks forward to continuing its work with the Nisga’a Nation and other Northern partners as the next phase of this healing journey unfolds.
