Real estate activity in northern BC has remained steady in the first half of 2025, with varying results across different communities. In Williams Lake, 192 properties were sold, with a slight decrease in overall sales and total value compared to last year. Quesnel’s market, on the other hand, has shown growth, with 167 properties sold, valued at $57.3 million, up from 2024. The Iskut/Atlin area saw no sales in 2025, but Hazelton/Highway 37 saw 18 properties sell for a total of $4.3 million.
In Prince Rupert and Terrace, sales activity continued strong, with Prince Rupert seeing 76 properties sold for $36 million, and Terrace selling 136 properties for $72.1 million. Kitimat’s market was slightly slower, with 73 properties sold for $31.6 million. Smithers and Houston reported stable sales, and Burns Lake saw an increase in property transactions.
