Forty-four new shelter and transitional housing spaces have opened in Kelowna to support women and children fleeing violence.
The newly built AG House, operated by NOW Canada, includes 20 shelter beds and 24 transitional homes, along with 24/7 on-site support.
The project received over $5 million from BC Housing and is part of a broader provincial and federal effort to expand safe, affordable housing.
Officials say the new spaces offer stability, safety, and a fresh start for vulnerable families.
