Coast Mountain College (CMTN) has launched a flexible and accessible pathway for residents across the Northwest to further their business education. The “Business Administration – Open Studies” option allows individuals to take specific business courses without the need to commit to a full diploma or certificate program.
This new offering is ideal for a variety of individuals, including professionals looking to upgrade skills such as accounting or marketing, small business owners seeking knowledge in areas like management or business law, or anyone interested in exploring post-secondary education. Participants can choose courses that align with their specific goals and interests.
A key benefit of this program is that the credits earned through Open Studies can later be applied toward a full CMTN Business Administration Certificate or Diploma. They can also be transferred to a B.C. university to pursue a bachelor’s degree.
The program is available at CMTN campuses in Terrace, Smithers, and Prince Rupert. Registration is now open for the fall and winter semesters, with courses like Financial Accounting, Business Computers, and Microeconomics starting in September 2025.
