StrongerBC Future Skills Grant Brings Career Training to Northern B.C. Residents

Northern B.C. residents have a valuable opportunity to upgrade their skills through the StrongerBC Future Skills Grant, now open for the fall semester. The grant provides up to $3,500 for eligible short-term programs in areas such as health care, trades, and technology. With over 10,000 individuals already benefiting since its launch in 2023, the program is playing a key role in helping people enter or advance in the workforce. More than 300 programs are available at 24 public post-secondary institutions, including Coast Mountain College, College of New Caledonia, and the University of Northern British Columbia. The grant aims to address current and emerging labour market needs, focusing on sectors like health care, cybersecurity, construction, and digital marketing. Courses are offered in various formats, including in-person, online, and hybrid, to ensure accessibility for residents across the region.
