LNG Canada says new flaring activity is set to begin Monday, June 16, as part of the start-up of Train 1 at its Kitimat facility.
Flares will range in height from 20 to 60 metres, with intermittent black smoke expected.
The company says fluctuating flare size is a normal part of the commissioning process as it works toward launching Canada’s first LNG export terminal.
