The Tears to Hope Relay along Highway 16 kicked off a month of remembrance for missing and murdered Indigenous women and girls.
Memorial walks are taking place throughout June — including one led by Clarence Abraham, who left Burns Lake earlier this month.
He arrived in Terrace yesterday and spoke with CFNR about his reasons for walking the Highway of Tears.
After resting overnight in Terrace, Clarence and his team continue their journey toward Prince Rupert today.
Drivers along Highway 16 are reminded to use caution and watch for walkers on the road.
