Common symptoms include eye and throat irritation, headaches, and mild coughing. More serious symptoms, such as chest pain or severe cough, can also occur. Local authorities recommend staying indoors as much as possible and using air filters to improve indoor air quality. Those who must go outside are urged to wear well-fitting masks like N95 respirators.
