Terrace RCMP Officer Recognized with King Charles Coronation Medal

Rosanne Komlos, a dedicated member of the RCMP, was awarded the King Charles Coronation Medal at a ceremony held at the Terrace RCMP detachment on May 27. The medal was created to celebrate the coronation of King Charles III and honors individuals who have made significant contributions to their communities. Komlos was nominated by Inspector Terry Gillespie for her exceptional leadership and tireless service over a 25-year career, including her work with the Gitsxan and Nisga’a Nations in northwest British Columbia. Her commitment to both her profession and the communities she served stood out. In her acceptance speech, Komlos expressed her deep appreciation for the support of her colleagues, mentors, and family, particularly her parents. She emphasized the honor of serving in her hometown of Terrace, where she returned to complete the final years of her career. The Coronation Medal is part of a larger initiative recognizing 30,000 individuals across Canada for their extraordinary contributions.
