Family members and community supporters gathered outside the Terrace RCMP detachment on May 27, calling for updates in the unsolved homicide of local teen Seb Moore.
The gathering, which included traditional drumming and singing in the rain, marked the second public show of support since Moore was fatally stabbed in late November 2023. The group gathered beside the detachment’s front lawn totem pole, a longstanding symbol of community presence at the site.
Moore died near the intersection of Clinton Street and Lakelse Avenue. A second youth was hospitalized with serious injuries, and a third was arrested but later released. Since then, RCMP have released few additional details.
Members of the NorthSide Crazy Indians Brotherhood stood in solidarity, holding a banner with Moore’s image. Also present was RCMP Constable Pat Tilma, the detachment’s Indigenous policing liaison, who emphasized his presence was to support the community, not as part of the investigation.
The Major Crimes Unit led the initial probe, and the scene remained sealed off for several days. Moore’s family continues to seek answers and accountability in the case.
This latest event follows a march held last year on the first anniversary of Moore’s death, as calls for justice remain unanswered.
