Diana Lake Provincial Park, located 16 km east of Prince Rupert, is undergoing significant upgrades and is temporarily closed to the public. The improvements, set to be completed by the end of April 2025, aim to enhance accessibility and the overall visitor experience.
Construction is currently underway to build a new day-use shelter, expand the parking lot, and improve accessibility features. The day-use toilet by the creek is also being renovated. Additionally, the park’s entrance gate will be relocated further from nearby private property.
Known for its water-related activities like swimming, canoeing, and sunbathing, the park also offers a beautiful nature trail through the coastal rainforest. Visitors can enjoy spotting Pacific salmon, steelhead, and other fish species, especially during the spawning season in August and September.
The park is set to reopen to the public at the end of April, offering improved amenities for an inclusive recreational experience.
