A structure fire in Terrace has resulted in one fatality. Yesterday morning Terrace RCMP responded to a fire in the 4500 block of Olson Avenue at around 6:27 a.m. The Terrace Fire Department contained the blaze to a garage, where they found an adult woman. Despite efforts to save her, she was later declared deceased at the hospital. The cause of the fire is considered suspicious, though police do not believe there is any risk to the public. The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Terrace RCMP at (250) 638-7400.
