On September 6, 2024, a Terrace RCMP officer observed a pickup truck driving erratically, prompting a traffic stop to assess the driver’s sobriety. During the stop, the officer discovered boxes of ammunition, empty beer cans, and drug paraphernalia in the front seat. The driver was detained for an impaired investigation. Further inspection revealed unsecured rifles and a shotgun in the back seat, one of which was loaded, along with additional knives and ammunition. Although the driver was found not to be impaired, RCMP will forward the investigation results to BC Prosecution Services for potential charges.
