A Williams Lake man has been banned from entering portions of BC, after being caught illegally guiding hunting expeditions in the area.
In 2016, the Conservation Officer Service began receiving tips that a man was providing illegal services to visitors from other countries.
An investigation would determine that Kurt Walden Mohr had been using the sale of his hunting dogs to facilitate illegal expeditions in the Cariboo.
Mohr has now pleaded guilty to acting as a guide for game without having an appropriate guide outfitter license, earning him a $15,000 fine.
But, Mohr is also facing a unique condition banning him from entering Crown Land in the area where the hunts took place for 10 years.
He’ll also be banned from all Crown Land in BC while in the pressence of a non-resident if either of them are carrying a firearm.
