For the first time in three years, the Three Corners Health Society in Williams Lake is set to host their annual mental health forum in person.
This year’s event is titled Medicine Stories, and will focus on both traditional and contemporary methods of addressing trauma.
Beginning next Wednesday, the two-day event will feature discussions on holistic healing, ceremonial practice, the importance of reconciliation, and more.
Featured speakers include: Chief Cadmus Delorme of the Cowessess First Nation, Pat McCabe of the Diné Nation, and motivational speaker Big Daddy Taz.
Food and entertainment will also be provided, and members of the Three Corners community can attend for free, though are asked to call ahead.
All are welcome, however, with tickets available for all other residents for $75 at The Open Book, or Three Corners, on a limited basis.
