BC is set to open twelve new Foundry Youth Centres this year, though the locations of those centres have not yet been determined.
Foundry centres provide those aged 12 to 24 with access to mental health and addictions supports, counselling, physical and sexual health care, and other social services.
There are currently 15 centres open province-wide, with Terrace, Williams Lake, and Prince George hosting centres in the North.
New centres are currently under development in eight other communities, including Burns Lake and Fort St John.
Foundry BC will work with the province and communities to determine the best locations for the twelve newly-funded centres.
