Seabridge Gold is planning for an extensive 2023 drilling program at their 100 percent owned Iskut project site.
That program is designed to test for deeper gold-copper porphyry systems and to expand the Bronson Slope mineral resource.
Core drilling activities from last year uncovered a major quartz-magnetite breccia pipe beneath the Bronson copper-gold deposit.
Breccia pipes are vertical holes filled with broken rocks, which become mineralized over time through hydrothermal eruptions.
According to Seabridge, the pipe serves as convincing evidence of a large copper-gold deposit below last year’s drilling.
They anticipate the completion of 12 to 15 holes in the Bronson Slope area in 2023, exceeding 12,000 metres of core.
Evidence suggests that the pipe could be part of a structural trend which connects the Bronson, Quartz Rise, and Snip North targets.
