A keen eye by police in Williams Lake helped remove a sizeable amount of illicit drugs from the streets last week.
Members of the Cariboo Chilcotin Crime Reduction Unit were patrolling a known drug nexus last Thursday, when they spotted a vehicle they recognized.
That vehicle had been associated with multiple drug-related files, including an on-going drug trafficking investigation in Chilliwack.
Officers observed the vehicle make a pair of short duration stops, before stopping it and apprehending the occupants.
A subsequent search of the vehicle revealed 480 grams of suspected fentanyl, which was seized by officers.
All of the suspects were later released as the investigation continues.
