One RCMP officer was sent to hospital last week after being bitten by a dog while attempting to break up a fight in a Fort St John parking lot.
Police were called out to the lot on the 10600 block of 100th Avenue for reports of the fight last Friday at around 1:30 in the afternoon.
A man and a woman has each been walking two dogs when they began yelling at each other, eventually leading to a fight.
When officers arrived on scene, the man yelled at them, before releasing his dogs and charging an officer with a weapon.
Police were eventually able to gain control of and arrest the man, but not before one of the dogs had bitten an officer.
Luckily, the officer attended hospital for treatment and was released later that day.
Noah Almond was arrested on charges of assault, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, and obstruction, and released to appear in court at a later date.
