New federal funding will help ensure students in rural and remote communities have the same access to education programming as those in urban centres.
PacifiCan is providing $233,000 to expand the Young Entrepreneur Leadership Launchpad program to five communities in Northern BC.
Open to all High School-aged students, the program aims to teach young leaders the skillsets needed for success in any field.
It features diverse guest speakers and mentors, and operates Canada’s first high school entrepreneurship program eligible for university credits.
This new funding will go towards delivering classes to Grade 10 to 12 students in Terrace, Smithers, Vanderhoof, Prince George, and Quesnel.
