The province is now advising people that the current supply of infant Moderna COVID-19 vaccines will expire on March 8.
Moderna’s infant mRNA COVID-19 vaccine can be used for children from ages 6 months to 4 years.
According to the federal government, BC is expecting a new supply starting on April 11.
Any parents or guardians who booked vaccinations for their kids between March 9 and April 10 will be contacted to rebook.
Though parents and guardians can also reschedule themselves by calling 1-833-838-2323
However the province also advises that Pfizer’s version of the infant vaccine is also safe and available though if used as a second dose it will require another to achieve full vaccination.
