In a recent news release, it was revealed that BC is going to be appointing a new Provincial Court judge in order to support continued access to justice.
The person in question being appointed is Grace Oh and she will officially be put into her new position on January 3rd next year.
Oh’s most recent job was with the BC Prosecution Service as a prosecutor for the past 25 years and she also graduated from the University of British Columbia with a bachelor of law degree.
Oh also has a range of different experiences conducting remand lists, Provincial and Supreme court trials and charge assessment in addition to being involved in administration and policy development.
Another reason for Oh’s eventual appointment is because the Provincial Government believes she is best qualified to promote fair access to justice for all residents of BC.
