A driver had to be airlifted to hospital in Vancouver last week, after his vehicle rolled and struck a tree near the Liard Hotsprings.
According to RCMP, the 23 year-old driver had been travelling north on the Alaska Highway, when his pick-up rolled off the road and down a steep embankment.
He was ejected from the vehicle upon impact, but luckily the sole passenger was able to flag down help.
Employees from White Bear Industries and the Liard River Lodge were able to provide first aid until emergency crews could arrive.
Once they did, the driver was airlifted from Watson Lake to Vancouver, though his current condition is unknown.
Police say the cause of the collision is still under investigation, but drugs and alcohol do not appear to have played a role.
