Residents in Sandspit are being advised to boil their water before consuming it.
The Regional District has sent out a statement saying that E Coli Bacteria has been discovered in the water, which led to the advisory.
Whether you are using the water for cooking or for hygienic purposes, it’s been advised that you boil it for at least a minute and let it cool before using.
The district also said that more water sampling will be carried out today and again next week.
The advisory will be lifted when the water condition improves and you can check the district’s webpage for updates.
