New Sign on Scout Island a First Step in Bringing Indigenous Knowledge and Content to the Island

A new sign installed near the Nekw7usem Bridge is the first step of a collaborative effort to display Indigenous knowledge and content on Scout Island.

A joint initiative between the Williams Lake First Nation and Scout Island Nature Centre aims to bring a number of similar signs to the island in the coming months.

Those signs will educate those using the trails on wildlife, plantlife, and the environment of the island, through an Indigenous lens.
