After an incident that took place yesterday at the North Peace Regional Airport in Fort St. John, Canadian Air Force Snowbirds will not be performing at a planned airshow in Penticton.
The incident in question saw a Canadian Military Snowbird aircraft that was in Fort St John for an airshow, go down as it was taking off.
The pilot was able to get the plane back to the airport but it ended up going past the runway and stopping on grass.
Luckily, the pilot was not injured and an investigation has been started to determine what went wrong with the aircraft.
But while this investigation is ongoing, the Snowbirds will not perform at an upcoming Penticton airshow and they most likely won’t perform at a scheduled Abbotsford Airshow this weekend either.
The results of this investigation will also be made public whenever it ends.
