Flood risks in the Northwest continue to drop, despite fairly heavy rainfall expected all day across the region.
But, some risk still remains in the Northeast, prompting the River Forecast Centre to maintain three alerts.
A High Streamflow Advisory remains in effect in the Peace region, covering tributaries around Fort St John, Taylor, Moberly Lake, Hudson’s Hope, and Dawson Creek.
Meanwhile, a Flood Watch is being maintained for the Liard River and its tributaries near Fort Nelson and Watson Lake.
Current predictions in the Skeena and Bulkley Rivers have them capping out at 2 year flood-levels this week, with a chance to rise again mid-next week.
