After nearly two weeks with no new cases, the Canadian Food Inspection Agency is reporting a trio of new Avian Flu outbreaks, including the first in the north.
That case come from a small non-poultry flock in the Peace River Regional District, reported on June 1st.
A pair of other cases, in Summerland and Sechelt, were also reported on June 4th in a pair of small poultry flocks.
In total, there have been 15 cases province-wide since April 13th, including three commercial flocks in the south.
Commercial flocks with 100 are more birds are required to keep all birds indoors through June 13th, with sales restrictions in place through the 19th.
To date, there have been no cases reported among humans.
