Dennis Daniel Gladue has been sentenced to life in prison for the 2021 murder of Christin Marion West in Prince George.
West, who is of Saik’uz and Lake Babine First Nation descent, was found dead in her apartment last August after being stabbed more than 30 times.
Gladue, who was known to West, was arrested not long after on charges of second-degree murder, to which he plead guilty earlier in the proceedings.
He has now been sentenced to life in prison without eligibility of parole for 15 years.
RCMP came under fire from West’s family during the initial investigation for ignoring reports of harassment and stalking made by West prior to her murder.
