Covid cases, hospitalizations, and deaths continued their downward trend in both the province and the north last week, according to the CDC’s weekly report.
Between May 15th and the 21st, 1,358 new Covid cases were reported province wide, down from 1,644 the week before.
Hospitalizations also dropped from 388 to 282, with 42 people passing away after testing positive for Covid in the past 30 days.
In the North, cases dropped from 93 to 86 last week, with 15 hospitalizations, down 3 from the week before, and 0 new deaths.
Terrace led the Northwest with 10 new cases, while Burns Lake saw 4, Smithers reported 3, and Prince Rupert and Haida Gwaii each saw 1, with both Kitimat and the Nisga’a Health Areas reporting no new cases.
