A request has been sent out by the BC government asking that service providers, who help kids by giving them support needs, submit their proposals to be appointed as operators of BC’s new and first ever family connection centres in northwest B.C. and the central Okanagan.
Proposals will be able to be submitted on BC Bid’s website,bcbid.gov.bc.ca, until July and contracts for the proposals chosen will given out sometime in the fall.
More opportunities to turn in proposals will be given in 2023 and by 2024, it is expected that 40 family connection centres will be open.
Some local areas that will have connection centres available include Terrace, Smithers and Prince Rupert.
