Thursday is Moose Hide Campaign Day, and this year you can take part online no matter where you may be.
11 years ago, the Moose Hide Campaign was started along Highway 16 to raise awareness around gender-based and domestic violence.
It started out with a focus on Indigenous women, but has since expanded their outlook to cover all women.
This year’s virtual event kicks off on their website, found at this link, at 8:30 in the morning.
Throughout the day, participants can view a number of presentations, and take part in numerous live, interactive, workshops.
In addition to the Day, the Campaign aims to hand out 10 million moose hide pins to raise awareness around the issue.
