In order to make sure that their resources are used properly, the Council of Canadian Academies is creating an expert panel to use a data based approach to determine who they think is worthy of an international science, technology and innovation partnership.
Canada does have several of these STI international partnerships available, but the resources that can be used for these projects are limited so the panel will figure out where these resources are best spent.
Monica Gattinger, the University of Ottawa’s Science Institute director, will act as this panel’s chair.
Some other panel members include Karen Croteau, partner of Coss Gilroy, Indiana University professor David Audretsch, PaulicyWorks Principal Paul Dufour and Ohio State University professor Caroline S. Wagner.
