Coastal GasLink has now completed pipe installation on two of eight sections along their 670 km pipeline route.
Installation work has now wrapped up on both Sections 1 and 4, according to the company’s April construction update, released Monday.
Section 1 stretches from west of Dawson Creek to southwest of Chetwynd, and Section 4 from northwest of Prince George to northwest of Vanderhoof.
Overall, the project is 62.4 percent complete, on target with their 2023 completion target, with pipeline installation started on all but one section.
Last week, CGL announced a new partnership between OJ Pipelines and three Indigenous groups to tackle that portion.
That partnership will also include Natanlii Development Corporation, Kyah Development Corporation, and the Yinka Dene Economic Development Limited Partnership.
Together they will help build Section 7 of the pipeline, which runs from south of Houston to north of Morice Lake.
CGL has also launched a virtual open house of the project, which you can find at this link.
