A new fund has been established by the province to help end violence against Indigenous women, girls, 2 spirit, and LGBTQ+ people.
With an initial injection of $5.34 million, the Path Forward Community Fund will be administered by the BC Association of Aboriginal Friendship Centres.
Funding will help Indigenous communities and organizations expand their safety planning capacity using culturally safe solutions.
With 25 centres located across BC, the BCAAFC is accessible by, and able to support, a diverse range of communities and populations.
