Dawson Creek RCMP were able to apprehend a man following a string of car thefts on Friday.
Over the course of the morning, the man managed to steal four vehicles, and nearly stole a fifth, injuring its owner in the process.
By 9:30 that same morning, police had identified all of the stolen vehicles, and apprehended the suspect believed to be responsible.
Three of the stolen vehicles were found to have had ignition keys stored somewhere in the vehicle, and all are considered crimes of opportunity.
Police are reminding residents not to leave keys in their vehicles or leave valuables in plain sight, and to turn off and remove the keys from unoccupied vehicles.
