LNG Canada CEO Peter Zebede calls the weekend receipt of a massive new module a milestone accomplishment for the project.
On Thursday, the company received their new, 10 story tall, inlet facilities module.
That module will serve as the entry point for natural gas feeding Kitimat-based plant via the Coastal GasLink pipeline.
But, the module must still be moved from the project’s material offloading to it’s final destination at the main LNG processing site at the Port of Kitimat.
Once in place, it will provide an even flow of natural gas to the plant, where it will be processed, before shipping overseas.
According to Zebede, the project is nearing the 60 percent completion mark.
