Over the next couple of weeks, Interior Health is planning on opening up more COVID vaccine clinic locations.
However, instead of opening up more mass immunization clinics, they instead will be bringing these clinics to pharmacies as well as regional health centres.
Interior Health will also continue to create regular and pop health clinics for people living in rural communities that may not have easy access to pharmacies.
The main reason for clinics transitioning to smaller locations is due to the fact that 91 percent of BC residents 5 and older have at least one dose, 86 percent are double vaccinated and 51 percent have gotten a booster as well.
