A number of free industry certification courses are being put on at multiple College of New Caledonia campuses this month.
Between March 14th and the 20th, students at the Prince George, Burns Lake, Mackenzie, Vanderhoof, and Fort St James campuses will be able to participate in the courses.
Those courses include: WHMIS (wimis) training, Occupational First Aid Level 1, Hazard Asessment, Rigging and Hoisting, Wilderness and Bear Awareness, Pipeline Construction Safety, and more.
Students of each offered course will be able to earn industry certified safety tickets, as well as learning a range of new skills.
Dubbed Coastal GasLink Safety Week, the event is made possible thanks to a 150,000 dollar investment by TC Energy’s project.
