An attic fire at a residence in Wells on Thursday has resulted in significant damage to the structure’s roof.
At around 3:30 in the afternoon, the Wells Volunteer Fire Brigade was called out to the corner of Dawson Street and Blair Avenue for reports of the blaze.
With help from the Barlow Creek Volunteer Fire Department, crews were able to isolate the fire to the roof.
All residents were evacuated without injury, though one was taken to hospital to be treated for smoke inhalation.
Total damages are still being assessed, and the cause of the fire is unknown at the moment.
