Public and Indigenous groups are now being invited to participate in the impact assessment project for a proposed LNG facility Northwest of Gingolx.
Proposed for a Nisga’a Nation owned site located on Pearse Island, the project would see an annual capacity of 12 million tonnes of LNG.
Titled Ksi Lisims LNG, the project is led by three proponents: the Nisga’a Lisims Government, Rockies LNG, and Western LNG.
Designed from the ground up, the project looks to set new environmental standards, proposed as net zero LNG by design.
Funding through the Impact Assessment Agency of Canada is now being made available for eligible groups wishing to take part in the process.
