Sandvik Mining and Rock Solutions has come to an agreement with the Tahltan Nation Development Corporation that will see them redistribute mining equipment in Northwest BC.
Covered under the agreement are a wide range of products, from mining equipment, to digital solutions, to tools and parts.
Mines in the region have been gradually implementing more advanced technology in to their operations.
Under the agreement, the parties will work together to distribute products to support that shift across the region.
With many mines in the area being located in remote Indigenous communities, these technologies hope to help create more job opportunities for residents.
All of Sandvik’s mining products, such as surface and underground drills, stationary crushers and screens as well as rock tools, are now available to be purchased through the TNDC.
