Last week, a campaign that is encouraging Indigenous kids to recount their COVID-19 vaccination journey was launched.
This campaign was created as a result of a partnership between the National Indigenous Youth Working Group on Vaccine Uptake and the National Association of Friendship Centres.
Any Indigenous youth that is willing to share their story could end up receiving a pair of Air Jordans.
The project coordinator for the Friendship Centres Association, John Paillé, stated that the campaign is looking to give kids a platform so their voices can be heard.
Indigenous Services Canada’s COVID-19 Indigenous Community Support Fund was the campaign’s main source of funding.
This campaign will continue to take submissions until it ends on March 31st.
