British Columbia is reporting 4,075 new cases of Covid-19 over the three days between Friday and Sunday.
That works out to 1,358 cases per day, and brings the province’s active case total to 27,454, with 1048 in hospital, and 138 in ICU.
It is the first time since the pandemic began that Covid hospitalization numbers have hit four digits.
Of the new cases, 447 are from Northern Health, while 1,182 are from the Interior.
19 new deaths were reported, with 8 in the Interior, and none in Northern Health.
There are currently 58 active outbreaks at health care facilities across the province, though none are in the North.
