A pair of suspects were arrested in Williams Lake after a crime spree which would leave Bonnie and Clyde impressed.
A man and a woman are in custody after allegedly being caught in a stolen vehicle, with a knife and a machete.
Initially, RCMP were called out to the refuse area near McCleese Lake, for reports of the pair starting a fire, after reportedly stealing a truck from Williams Lake.
On the same call, it was reported that the two had attempted to rob a general store in McCleese Lake, just prior to the call.
When officers arrived on scene and located the pair, the man fled on foot, while the woman attempted to start the stolen truck.
Police then apprehended the 29 year-old woman, who was found to be a prohibited driver, with outstanding warrants from Quesnel.
Shortly after, the man was located and arrested, after being found with the machete.
During the course of the investigation, officers seized small amounts of suspected cannabis, meth, and stolen license plates.
Both suspects are being held in custody awaiting charges, with their identities off the record until they are charged.
